The agreement between you and Dory.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or otherwise using Dory, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the privacy notice. If you don't agree, don't use Dory.

2. What Dory is

Dory is an AI-assisted task manager: it estimates effort, reads your connected Google Calendar for free capacity, and helps you prioritize what to work on next. Every AI-derived value — estimates, priority, classification, extracted action items, briefing suggestions — is a suggestion you can edit or decline. Nothing from an external source (email, a calendar event, a briefing) is ever committed as a task without an explicit action from you.

3. Your account

• You're responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials and any personal API tokens you generate confidential.
• You must have the authority to grant the Google account access (Calendar, Gmail, Drive) you connect to Dory — don't connect an account you don't have permission to use with a third-party app.
• Dory doesn't currently support organization or team accounts — each account is a single individual's workspace.

4. Your content

You own the tasks, notes, files, and other content you create in Dory. You grant Dory a limited license to store, process, and transmit that content — including to the third-party services listed in the privacy notice — solely to provide and improve the features you use. That license ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the retention and backup limits described in the privacy notice.

You're responsible for what you put into Dory, including content pulled in from connected services (email, calendar events) that you choose to act on.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Dory to:

• Violate any law, or the rights of someone else.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data, or probe, scan, or load-test Dory's infrastructure outside of the coordinated process in SECURITY.md.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service, or attempt to bypass its authentication, rate limiting, or authorization controls.
• Use Dory's AI features to generate or process content you don't have the right to submit to a third-party AI vendor (see the privacy notice for which vendor sees what).

6. Third-party services

Dory works by connecting to services you already use — Google Calendar, Gmail, and Drive — and by sending relevant content to AI vendors to power features you choose to use. Those integrations are governed by the connected provider's own terms in addition to these. The full list of vendors and what each one receives is in the privacy notice, not restated here to avoid the two documents drifting apart.

7. Service "as is"

Dory is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI-generated estimates, classifications, and suggestions can be wrong — Dory surfaces them as a starting point, not a guarantee, and you're responsible for the decisions you make from them. As a small, continuously-deployed project, Dory doesn't guarantee uninterrupted availability and may change or discontinue features with notice given through the app or this page where practical.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dory and its maintainer aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or business opportunity, arising from your use of Dory — including reliance on an AI-generated estimate or suggestion. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law.

9. Termination and deletion

You can delete your account and its data at any time from Settings — see the privacy notice for exactly what that removes and how long provider-managed backups may retain a copy. Dory may suspend or terminate access for a violation of the acceptable-use section above, or discontinue the service entirely; where practical, you'll be given the chance to export your data first from Settings as complete JSON or download your task list as readable Markdown.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as Dory changes. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision; continuing to use Dory after an update means you accept the revised terms.

11. Governing law

Dory doesn't currently designate a governing jurisdiction or venue for these terms — this is disclosed as a limitation rather than implied by omission. If you need a specific jurisdiction clause for your use case, contact the Dory security owner through the channel below before relying on Dory for that purpose.
